Senior Mine Geologist-Open Pit Gold
As 2IC to the Geology Manager you will be responsible for managing the site when he is not there. Not only overseeing the mine, production progress and grade controls, but also involved in resource development. Also overseeing drilling and taking responsibility for the near mine extension.
Join a team of 3 Geologists and 4 Underground technicians, working closely with foreman and engineering managers. This team has their own style of open communication and varied personalities but they all work cohesively.
As the company grows so will your career opportunities, with roles opening up at chief level in the next 18 months as three sites will be producing by then. This is a FIFO role from Perth on an 12/9 roster. The camp life will also be a bonus with this role- facilities including gym, swimming pool, internet café and sports courts.
To be considered for this position you must have a Bachelor of Science in Geology, minimum 7 years experience open pit. Surpac/Vulcan software knowledge is preferred.
