Resource Geologist - Escape the isolation?
$120,000 - 199,999 (pa)
Regional WA
Resource Geologist

The basics:
  • Large OC site, report to Senior Geologist
  • Creation of geological models, data validation, developing drilling programs
  • Reconciliation, contractor management, mentoring juniors
You get all the perks of working for an international leader (share options, training and development, transfers into other commodities / oversees etc), but in a Res role, so your housing costs would only be about $120 a month (salary sacrificable).

The town:
Moranbah is close to the Whitsundays, Mackay, Rockhampton etc, and has about 12 currently active sites surrounding it (almost 10,000 people in town).

Airport with regular flights to Brisbane or Townsville too, and all mod-cons you would expect. Choice of primary schools, high school, TAFE.

It's all about opportunity:
I know coal is very different, but there are some amazing opportunities in coal at the moment (all over QLD and NSW) but more importantly, there are more future career opportunities in general.

With your background in modelling and solid site experience, adding 2-4 years in this coal resources role would give you access to a corporate or consulting roles in Brisbane, Mackay, Newcastle, Perth, Melbourne or Sydney.

Whether you are looking for a more family-orientated move, are keen for a new challenge, or just want to save on living costs for a few years, either APPLY NOW, or call me directly:
