Mine Geologist- Underground- Nickel
As 2IC to the Senior Mine Geologist you will be responsible for managing the site when he is not there. Not only overseeing the mine, production progress and grade controls, but also involved in resource development. Also overseeing Diamond drilling and taking responsibility for the near mine extension.
The Geology in this role is also a challenge as it is a complex narrow vein ore body.Being an international company they have the infrastructure and resources to utilise the potential of this deposit.
Join a team of 3 Geologists and 4 Underground technicians, working closely with foreman and engineering managers. This team has their own dynamic of open communication and varied personalities but they all work cohesively.
As the company grows so will your career opportunities, with roles opening up at senior levels in the next 18 months as two sites will be producing by then. This is a FIFO role from Perth on an 8/6 roster.
Salary benefits include performance related bonuses and an employee share option scheme. The camp life will also be a bonus with this role. With facilities including gym, swimming pool, internet café and tennis and basketball courts.
To be considered for this position you must have a Bachelor of Science in Geology, minimum 3 years experience underground. Surpac/Vulcan software knowledge is preferred.
